Tang master of Mount Baizhang, one of Mazu Daoyi's heirs (widely, though disputedly, identified with the epithet 百丈涅槃和尚). The lamps preserve his exchange with Nanquan on whether there is a dharma the masters do not preach, and the story of his pointing at a braying donkey.
