Ming Linji master of Tangcheng, a native of Guyu Tangcheng (Chongqing, 張 clan). He served Xichan Xuefeng Rui for years but his teacher died before granting him formal approval (「因峰遷化，未獲印可」), so he travelled far to call on Chushan Shaoqi — his late teacher's dharma-brother.
