Yunmen-house master of Beichan at Changning in Hengzhou (Tanzhou). Dharma heir of Fuyan Liangya. Asked at his installation 'whose tune do you sing, whose house do you succeed?', he answered 'the peaks of Zhibo stand fair, their fame carried beyond the seas' — and when the monk said 'in days past you got the seal from Fuyan in person; today you convert the lost here', he replied 'you have had your fill of the monastery, at least'. The 續傳燈錄 records seven dharma heirs for him, among them Fachang Yiyu and Xinghua Shaoxian.
