Of Nanchong, Yang clan; abbot of Qingguo Chan cloister on Mount Jin'ao in Shehong county, Tongchuan, from the autumn of 1664. A dharma heir of Poshan Haiming — Poshan's own recorded sayings contain the transmission verse he gave him: 'You have got my eye: it sees through the shallow and the deep; do not join the great herd of blind donkeys — to whom will you chant the broken-sandbowl line?'
