Of the Yang (楊) family of Tangxian; abbot of Dajue monastery in Beijing — hence the epithets 大覺 and 清涼 in the incense formulas of his heirs. A dharma heir of Huanxiu Changrun. He came south to Yue (Zhejiang) in 1591, and it was at Zhifengtu that Zhanran Yuancheng met him. Born 1552/3, died 1594/5.
