Cuiyan Kezhen (d. 1064) was a Northern Song Linji master, a native of Changxi in Fuzhou and a dharma-heir of Shishuang Chuyuan (Ciming). So proud of his wide pilgrimage that the monasteries nicknamed him 'Zhen Who Jabs His Chest' (真點胸) for his habit of pointing at his own breast, he was humbled and then awakened under Ciming. He taught at Cuiyan in Nanchang and later at Mt. Daowu in Tanzhou; Huang Tingjian wrote the preface to his recorded sayings.
