潭州道吾悟真禪師 (also 道吾法真), a Song Linji master of unrecorded origin, 12th generation below Huineng. Dharma heir of Shishuang Chuyuan (Ciming), listed among his fifty heirs alongside Huanglong Huinan and Yangqi Fanghui — the founders of the two great Linji branches. He taught at Xinghua si on Mount Daowu in Tanzhou and left a one-juan 潭州道吾真禪師語要. Recorded exchanges: asked 「如何是常照？」he said 「針鋒上須彌」; 「如何是寂照？」— 「眉毛裏海水」; 「如何是本來照？」— 「草鞋裏𨁝跳」.
