Doushuai Huizhao was a Song Chan master of Doushuai cloister in Longxing prefecture (modern Nanchang), a dharma-heir of Doushuai Congyue in the Linji/Huanglong branch. His recorded teaching turns on effortless arrival: 'One who truly walks does not shift both feet; one who truly enters does not move both door-leaves.'
