Of Jingyang in Xi'an prefecture, Ren clan. A Caodong master: he received the dharma from Juelang Daosheng at Tianjie in Nanjing and succeeded him in that seat, lighting his transmission incense 'for my original master Juelang, thirty-third generation of the true Caodong lineage'. He had earlier spent ten years at Yunju and had lived at Kuanglu. He later moved to Hongji monastery. His recorded sayings carry an appended collection of Pure Land poems, and his invitation-letters are signed by a long roll of Nanjing literati.
