東京法雲佛國禪師惟白, lay surname 冉; 12th generation below Qingyuan and 6th of the Yunmen line, dharma heir of Yuantong Faxiu (1027–1090). He first headed Tiantong, was then commanded by the throne to Fayun si in the Eastern Capital, and in old age returned to Tiantong in Mingzhou. He compiled the 建中靖國續燈錄 in thirty juan — one of the 'five lamps' — for which Emperor Huizong wrote the preface, gathering the sayings of more than 1,700 teachers of the eighty years after the 廣燈錄 under five rubrics. He also produced the 大藏經綱目指要錄 (a guide to the whole canon) and the 華嚴善知識頌.
