Of the Fan clan of Jiazhou (Jiayang), born 1634. At ten he was tonsured by Huijue Zhaoyi and served him closely; seeing a corpse, he had an insight. He was abbot of Xiangguo monastery in Chongqing (Yuzhou). He edited his master's discourse record in three fascicles; his own runs to one. He died on the fifteenth day of the twelfth month of 1674, aged 40. His heir was Yitang Faxiu of Xiangguo, Chongqing.
