Of the Li clan of Neijiang, born on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of 1626. He was tonsured at twenty-three (1648) under Zhangxue Tongzui at Yumen. In 1654 he accompanied Tongzui to pay respects to Poshan Haiming at Shuanggui. He was fully ordained in 1657 under Tongrong at Yaofeng, called on Eryin Xingmi at Longyuan, and returned to Jingming. In 1660 Tongzui handed him the source-scroll and the whisk. From 1670 he held Zhugu Chan cloister, then Zhaojue in Chengdu, Chaoyin, and Bore. He was still alive in 1693, aged 68. He edited his master's discourse record; his own runs to twelve fascicles.
