A NUN — the second abbess of the Fushi ('Lion-Subduing') convent at Meixi, succeeding her teacher QIYUAN XINGGANG. On Xinggang's death in 1654 the leadership was given jointly to her and to her dharma-sister Yichuan Chaolang; when Yichuan died, Yigong was left in sole charge. Her recorded sayings survive in one juan, taken down by Mingyuan, with a preface by Gao Yiyong and a colophon by her dharma-sister Yikui Chaochen. She stands in the Linji line Miyun Yuanwu → Shiche Tongcheng → Qiyuan Xinggang → Yigong Chaoke.
