Northern Song monk, dharma heir of Dagui Zhenru Muzhe (大溈[真如]喆禪師). Self-styled 碧落道人 ('Man of the Kingfisher-Blue Void'); wrote the seven Buddha-names on his robe, earning the nickname '蘭布裩' (Lan of the cloth trousers). Died a martyr's death during the Jin invasion at the end of the Jianyan era, self-immolating rather than betray the Song, and yielding five-colored relics.
