Of Tongcheng, surname Yan; zi Hansong, also styled Yinweng. He put off white robes in 1643 at eighteen and took full ordination at twenty-two. Studying under Baiyu at Qinglong, he knocked a lamp to the floor and broke clean open. He received Baiyu's charge in 1652. He held Longfu at Qinglong in Songjiang, Shanquan at Guoshan, Xianglu on Mt. Baiyun, Yunji at Baoyan, Anle at Jingxi, Li'an at Shanjuan and Longhua at Bianshan. Died 1688 aged 63. He edited his master Baiyu's complete records into the canon.
