Of Mochi in Zizhou, Sichuan, surname Jia; hao Huanxi. Tonsured in his twentieth year and ordained at Ganlu monastery in Chengdu. At twenty-two he attended the Daci lectures, then called on Hui'an Guang, Netang Bian and Tu'an Gui in turn, working day and night at his own matter. He then found Wuzhun Shifan at Ayuwang and became his heir. From 1246 he held Ruiyan in Jianning, then Huili in Linjiang, Baofeng in Hong, Xuefeng in Fu, and finally, by imperial order, Tiantong in Siming. Died 1281 aged 80.
