Caodong master, of the Feng family of Jianyang in Fujian, born in 1577. He was tonsured in 1604 under Likong at Huxiaoyan, and became a dharma heir of Wuming Huijing of Shouchang. He was abbot of Dongyuan at Jianning in the Wuyi mountains, and is styled in his own stupa inscription 'first-generation Chan patriarch of Wuyi'. He died in 1630 aged fifty-four.
