Ming Chan master; dharma heir of Motang Xuan. His pupil Fazhou Daoji of Tianning in Jiaxing — who came to him from Dongchan, attended him morning and night, and was awakened by the sound of a chime ringing out from the Buddha-hall as he walked in the cloister, whereupon Ji'an sealed him — carried the line on. Only the single dharma character 祚 survives of his name.
