Miguang of Jiaozhong monastery in Quanzhou (d. 1155), styled Hui'an and nicknamed 'Guang the Top Graduate', surnamed Li of Fujian. Tonsured at fifteen, he trained under several masters before his great awakening under Dahui Zonggao, whose heir he became in the Yangqi branch of Linji; he opened the dharma at Jiaozhong for ten years at a vice-councillor's invitation before moving to Mount Gui.
