Styled Shunfu; his mother was of the He 賀 family. Born in the hour of chen on the ninth of the tenth month of 1612. Dharma heir of Yuanhu Miaoyong, thirty-fourth generation below Nanyue. He wrote and prefaced his own ten-juan record, to which a 源流頌 (verses on the lineage) is appended — a man keenly conscious of his own succession. He was a prolific teacher: the Jiaxing catalogue lists at least seven masters as 嗣介庵進, including Zhu'an Zhenyan, Shanduo Zhenzai, Daxiao and the layman Lu Ying. He died on the twenty-third of the ninth month of 1673, aged 62, with 37 years in robes.
