Southern Song Linji master, styled Huiweng (晦翁), sobriquet Zhenlan ('truly idle'); of Fuzhou. A dharma heir of Mu'an Anyong (d. 1173), nineteenth generation below Huineng. He was abbot of Chongfu monastery in Quanzhou and of Jingci in Hangzhou. He compiled the LIANDENG HUIYAO (聯燈會要) in thirty fascicles — one of the five great lamp records — writing its preface in the Qianguang hall in 1183 and putting it to the block.
