溫州淨光為覺禪師, a Song Yunmen-line master and the sole recorded dharma heir of Lingfeng Wenji of Yandang shan. Asked 「雲門一曲師親唱，未審西來意若何？」he replied 「道什麼」, and when the monk pressed 「恁麼則便是和尚為人處也」he said simply 「錯」. His 上堂 praises his cloister — 「淨光紺宇，古佛祇園…面臨郛郭，背靠林泉」— and closes with 「鴛鴦繡了從君看，莫把金針度與人」(the mandarin ducks are embroidered for you to see, but the golden needle is not passed on).
