台州（天台）般若寺敬遵通慧禪師, a Five Dynasties master and a direct dharma heir of Fayan Wenyi (885–958) — a first-generation master of the Fayan school. He lived at Huguo si and founded the Boruo (Prajñā) monastery on Xi'ao shan in Taizhou. Summoned to court he declined to attend, and refused the gold chain the palace bestowed; his end is not recorded. His 上堂: 「皎皎烜赫地，亘古亘今，也未曾有纖毫間斷相…所以道，山河大地是上座善知識」. Asked 「優曇花拆人皆覩，般若家風賜一言」he answered 「不因上座問，何曾舉似人？」
