Of the Ge clan of Ninghai, Taizhou. He went to Wuzhun Shifan and got the point. He held Xingsheng at Liuhong in Jiaxing, Nengren at Mt. Yan in Wenzhou, Huiyun at Jiuyan in Yue, Guang'en at Huguo on Tiantai, Yanfu at Chong'en in Lin'an, and Longxiang at Jiangxin in Wenzhou. In 1272 he took Xuefeng, held it ten years, then resigned and retired to Baoshou monastery in Hangzhou. He died in 1290, aged 85. His disciple Miao'en gathered his essentials into the Jue'an Kexiang chanshi yulu.
