Southern Song Linji (Yangqi branch) master, dharma heir of Xuedou Daxie Zhongqian (1174-1244). He first admired Wuzhun Shifan's teaching, then went to Zhongqian; late one night he raised his head, saw a glass lamp, and awakened. He taught successively at Yongqing, Lianyun and Heshan in Jizhou before becoming abbot of Chengtian at Suzhou (Pingjiang). 21st generation from Huineng.
