Song Chan master of the Linji school, surname Fu, dharma-heir of Dawei Muzhe. After more than ten years living quietly in Linchuan he took up residence at Letan Baofeng in Longxing at the age of fifty-four, where students regularly numbered five thousand. He later headed Jiangshan in Jinling and Yuantong monastery in Jiujiang, returned to Letan, and died in 1132 at Hongfu monastery in Fujian, aged 71.
