Twelfth-century Chan master of the Linji/Yangqi line, styled Kuoan, dharma-heir of Dasui (Nantang) Yuanjing. A native of Hechuan, surname Lu, he resided at Liangshan in Changde. He composed the celebrated Ten Ox-Herding Pictures with verses (十牛圖頌), the version that became standard in Chan and Zen. He had one dharma-heir, Xinxiang Yi of Chengdu.
