Five Dynasties master of the Lingshu cloister in Shaozhou, a native of Min (Minxian, Fujian). He first met Changqing Da'an and thereafter his teaching flourished south of the passes. The Liu rulers of Southern Han honoured him across generations, consulting him on unresolved matters; his answers proved so reliable that he was privately titled Zhisheng dashi (知聖大師).
