An heir of Tian'an Bensheng of Jinsu, and thus a grand-heir of Muchen Daomin. He held the Longquan hermitage on Mount Wu in Huzhou, the Shizi Lin at Tiaocheng, and the Dongchan monastery on Mount Long in Anji, and left a seven-fascicle record compiled by Chengchun. Only the first character of his dharma name (He) is preserved; his dates are unrecorded. A preface to his record by the elder Xiaoxi calls him 'a thousand-league colt of our house' and rejoices on behalf of 'my dharma-brother Sheng of Jinsu' — his teacher.
