Of the Li 李 family, originally of Xuzhou prefecture in Sichuan, settled at Anshun in Guizhou. Born on the twenty-eighth of the sixth month of 1625. Dharma heir of Lingyin Yinwen, he became abbot of Shengjue monastery on Mount Guangfu. Thirty-sixth generation below Nanyue.
