Chan master of Tianning monastery in Jiaxing prefecture. A dharma heir of Baoyue Tan. The Jingshi diru ji records that he first went to Chushan Shaoqi — Baoyue's dharma-brother — and 'at once tallied with the subtle purport', before receiving Baoyue's seal: another case where the first teacher is not the transmitting one. Only his dharma character 宣 is attested; I have not expanded it.
