Song Linji master of Gushan at Fuzhou, a son of the Wu family of Min county. He took the robe in his twentieth year, and hearing that there was a transmission outside the teachings went to Lan'an Dingxu at Yunmen, whose heir he became — eighteenth generation below Dajian. He lived first at Qianyuan, moved to Huangbo, and afterwards held Gushan at Fuzhou. He left a fascicle of essential sayings. His dharma heirs were Jingci Wuming and Yi'an Fajian. He died in 1173.
