Linji master, dharma heir of Jie'an Wujin of Jinming (Jiaxing). His own dharma name is Zhenben. He is remembered mainly through his heir Tan'an Jijun, in whose recorded sayings his exchanges with his master are preserved - among them the question of how the insentient preach the dharma, where Jinming lifted a fallen stick of incense and Pingshan answered that the abbot's staff had gone leaping away.
