Lay surname Xu, a man of Jingmen. Abbot of the Neihuguo (Inner Protecting-the-State) monastery in Jingnan, where he opened the canon and took the seat in the 3rd month of 1686 at the invitation of the lay patrons Li Yufan and Lu Diaoyuan. He left four fascicles of recorded sayings, prefaced by three officials of the day.
