Five Dynasties / early Song Fayan-school master (942-1008/09), surnamed Zheng. He studied Confucian texts first, left home at twenty-five at Jiqing cloister in Wenzhou, and took full ordination at Guoqing monastery on Mt. Tiantai. After attending National Teacher Tiantai Deshao (891-972) for ten years he became abbot of Ruilu monastery in Wenzhou. His Zhulin ji in ten fascicles survives. A dharma brother of Yongming Yanshou.
