A Caodong master, dharma heir of Sanyi Mingyu, and thus in the line of Zhanran Yuancheng. He entered Qichang monastery at Qianxi on the eighth day of the twelfth month, 1676. His recorded sayings were edited by his disciples Zhizhi and Zhiyuan.
