Chan master of Shengguang in Taizhou, a dharma heir of Zihu Lizong (himself an heir of Nanquan Puyuan), 南嶽下四世. Asked his house style he replied 'Fuzhou lychees, Quanzhou coral-trees.' He also appears as the interlocutor who tested 西川定慧禪師 with a whisk at the monks' hall.
