Ming–Qing Linji master, personal name 通雲, sobriquet 石奇, of the Xu family of Loudong. A grave childhood illness brought on a visionary experience; he left his mother and was tonsured at Nanguang, was set the huatou 'your face before your parents were born', and his doubt-mass broke open while wandering at Pingyao Xiansheng. He became a dharma heir of 密雲圓悟 at Tiantong and served as abbot of 雪竇山資聖禪寺 in Ningbo (Mingzhou), where his recorded sayings (雪竇石奇禪師語錄, Jiaxing Canon B183) were compiled by his heir 行正.
