Abbot at Yunju in Jiangzhou, dharma heir of Fozhao Deguang of Ayuwang and eighteenth generation below Huineng. He entered Yansheng Chan cloister on Mount Zhangxi in 1219, was invited in 1228 to the Zhenru Chan cloister on Mount Yunju, and later lived at the Donghu hermitage. His disciple Liaojian compiled his recorded sayings in one fascicle. No birth or death year survives in any source — DILA states this outright.
