湖州楊墳資福嵩庵正禪師, a native of Qianzhou surnamed Chen. Dharma-heir of 靈機行觀 (1616–1681), whom he succeeded ('繼席') as abbot of Zifu monastery at Yangfen, Huzhou. Fell mildly ill in the winter of a bingyin (丙寅) year; on the fifth day of the first month of the following year he bathed, changed robes, sat in meditation posture and died, aged 58, having been a monk 26 years; his stupa was built at Qianling.
