Tang-dynasty master of Songshan, dharma-heir of the 'Stove-Breaker' monk (破竈墮), who was himself an heir of Songyue Hui'an. Known from a terse exchange on what makes a person who cultivates good: 'One who wears the cangue and drags chains.'
