Chan master of Tianzhang in Yuezhou, a dharma heir of Tianyi Yihuai in the Yunmen line. His sermon on holding fast and letting go: 'Hold fast, and a dripping drop freezes, rivers stop running; let go, and the sun warms, the wind softens, mountains and streams vie in beauty.'
