Of the Lu clan of Hengxi, Yinxian; born on the 10th of the 6th month of 1201. He was tonsured and ordained under Beihai Xin at Daochang-shan in Zha. He first went to Wuzhun Shifan at Ayuwang, who made him keeper of the inner records — he would not take it, and left to follow Shitian at Jingci. He then studied under BEIJIAN JUJIAN at Jingci and got the point, and was put in charge of the writings. He held Faxiang in Hangzhou, Xianci, Xiangtian Xingjiao, Zhimen, Jiaozhong Baoguo, and in 1263 became the 46th abbot of Ayuwang in Mingzhou. He died on the 17th of the 6th month of 1268, aged 68. A noted literary monk of the late Southern Song; his 物初賸語 runs to 25 fascicles. His dharma heir was Huiji Yuanxi — also in this batch.
