Northern Song Chan master of Xiangshan in Mingzhou. The Xu chuandeng lu places him among the dharma heirs of Shishuang Chuyuan (Ciming) in the eleventh generation below Nanyue, a peer of Cuiyan Kezhen. Known for terse answers on the 'phrase that penetrates the dharma-body' and a sermon opening with a long silence followed by sudden laughter.
