Qing-dynasty Linji master, heir of 破山海明 (1597-1666) — the great Sichuan revivalist — and thus part of the 破山 line that carried Linji Chan into Sichuan and Guizhou. His seats were 盛京聖恩寺 (Shengjing/Shenyang), 潭淵普照寺 in 大名府, and the 二祖墖院 on the 滹沱 in 磁州. He certified 語嵩傳裔, who carried the line south into Guizhou (the 黔南 lamp-record descends from him), and 書雲旵. NAME NOTE: he is 雪臂 ('Snow Arm'), not 雪竇 or 雪壁; the corpus writes 雪臂巒 and 印巒.
