Northern Song Yunmen-school master, 山主 (hermitage-head) of Xuefeng in western Sichuan, dharma heir of 潞州妙勝臻. A single short sermon survives, and it is all urgency: 「昨日一，今日二，不用思量，快須瞥地。不瞥地，蹉過平生勿巴鼻。咄！」 — 'Yesterday one, today two. No pondering — catch a glimpse of it, quick. Miss the glimpse and you botch your whole life with nothing to grab hold of. Bah!'
