Song master 撫州靈巖圓日禪師, of Lingyan in Fuzhou (Jiangxi), the sole recorded dharma-heir of Yuanjue Tan. He survives in the lamp records through a single hall-address: 「悟無不悟，得無不得，九年面壁空勞力。三脚驢兒跳上天，泥牛入海無蹤跡」 — nine years facing the wall was wasted effort; the three-legged donkey leaps into the sky, the clay ox enters the sea and leaves no trace.
