東京智海本逸正覺禪師, lay surname 彭 of Fuzhou; ordained at nine. Yunmen-line master, 11th generation below Qingyuan, dharma heir of Kaixian Shanxian, under whom he awakened when Shanxian raised Bodhidharma's transmission verse. First abbot of 薦福 in Raozhou; Emperor Shenzong then summoned him to 智海 and granted him the title 正覺 — whence the name 正覺逸.
