Of the Zhou clan of Taizhou (Ninghai), born 1151. He was tonsured at Jingtu cloister, held Hanqing, Nengren and Guangxiao, then moved to Jiangshan and Tiantong, and in 1218 was commanded to Jingshan — the first monastery of the empire. He bore the title Chan Master Foxin. He is the hub from which four well-attested heirs hang: Yanxi Guangwen, Dachuan Puji, Huaihai Yuanzhao and Jieshi Zhipeng, each filed as 'eighteenth generation below Nanyue, heir of Zhewong Yan.' He died in 1225, aged seventy-five.
