A SECOND man styled Baofeng, heir of Haizhou YONGCI — routinely merged with Baofeng MINGXUAN, heir of Haizhou Puci. He received Yongci's own hand-written charge on the 11th day of the 2nd month of Jingtai 5 (1454), with the verse 「迷悟猶如空裏雲」 and a robe and whisk. His stupa stands behind Tuiju si, not beside Dongming si. In Tianshun 5 (1461) he and Zhixi 智璽 reverently recorded Yongci's 行錄. Note 智楷 also reports that Yongci's chief heir styled Baofeng was 智忍 — so the 寶峯 sobriquet may cover a third man; keep 智瑄 distinct from 明瑄 and do not claim more. He is NOT Tianqi Benrui's teacher: the forgers made him so by fabricating a transmission verse 'found in a broken basket of waste paper' in 1662.
